Multi-Family

The Full Story

For multi-family property owners and managers, keeping fire ants under control is crucial not only for the safety and comfort of residents but also for the protection of the property itself. If previous attempts to manage fire ants have been unsuccessful, Fire Ant Control of Texas is here to help.

We specialize in eradicating fire ants from apartment buildings, townhomes, condo complexes, and other multi-family properties. Our team is experienced in handling properties of any size, and we understand the unique challenges presented by fire ant infestations in these environments.

Fire ants are more than just a nuisance—they pose risks to residents with their painful stings, which can be dangerous, especially for individuals with allergies. They often build nests along sidewalks, driveways, and near buildings, sometimes even creating mounds close to structures. Additionally, their nests can cause costly damage to electrical equipment, including air conditioning units, which can lead to expensive repairs and downtime.

Let Fire Ant Control of Texas take the headache out of fire ant management for your property. Our expert team will work with you to create a customized, effective solution to keep fire ants at bay. Contact us today to schedule a consultation or learn more about our services.

How Our Treatment Works

At Fire Ant Control of Texas, we understand that the key to eradicating a fire ant colony is targeting the queen(s), as they are the egg-producing individuals that sustain the colony. Without eliminating the queen, the colony is likely to rebuild nearby, causing ongoing problems for your property.

Our proven treatment method focuses on sterilizing and killing the queen through the use of a specialized granular bait. This bait, which has a food-like texture that ants are attracted to, contains an insect growth regulator (IGR) that disrupts the colony from the inside out. The worker ants transport the bait back to the queen, effectively sterilizing her and preventing any new ants from being born. As a result, the entire colony will eventually collapse.

While extermination is not immediate, the effects of our treatment will leave your property 95% free of fire ants within 6 to 10 weeks. However, because fire ants can fly and potentially establish new colonies, we recommend scheduling treatments two times a year. Regular treatments will help prevent re-infestations and keep your multi-family property fire ant-free.

At Fire Ant Control of Texas, we prioritize the safety and comfort of your residents. Our services are tailored to your specific needs, ensuring the eradication of red imported fire ants and providing long-term protection against future infestations. Contact us today to discuss how we can help keep your property safe from fire ants now and in the future.
